Day 1 – Sunday – Arrival day

You will be met at Bengaluru Airport and transferred to your accommodation in Mysuru.

During the three hour drive you will have your first introduction to the somewhat ordered chaos that are the roads of India.  You’ll be amazed as you watch bikes, scooters, cars, trucks, buses and more weave their way along the road with seemingly no lanes and no road rules!  The cacophony of constantly beeping horns as the locals communicate with each other means your road trip to Mysuru will be an experience to remember and you can expect to see many wonderful and interesting things along the way.  Welcome to India!

Meet your Tour Director and group at 5pm for a welcome briefing and dinner.

Day 2  – Monday – Orientation Day

Let the creative process begin! After breakfast meet your Auto driver for an interesting trip to the workshop that will be yours for the next seven days.  Meet your Artisan and discuss your project. To get things off on the right foot we’ll get the safety brief out of the way today.

Your Auto driver will be on hand to take you back to your hotel where you have free time until 5.30pm.  Then he’ll pick you up and off you go on a city tour – it is amazing what you can see from the back of an auto and there is no better way to get a feel for the Royal City that is Mysuru.  There are 13 palaces, countless temples, parks and statues larger than life, it really is a beautiful city.  All this combined with cows wandering the streets, people everywhere you look, more motorbikes and scooters than you can imagine weaving in and out amongst the cars, it is endlessly fascinating to watch the world go by as you cruise around the city.

Days 3 & 4 – Tuesday & Wednesday – Artists at Work

Let’s get to it.   Project time.  You’ve taken this time out from your day to day life to give yourself time to work in a creative space.  We’ll do everything we can to support that journey.

After breakfast meet your Auto driver and head to the workshop around 8am.  This day will be more or less on repeat for the next four days as you spend 3-4 hours each day working on your dream project, and learning from an artisan that is in some cases 6th generation working on the same craft and an expert at what they do.
After you finish your session your auto driver who is by now your friend, will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure or choose an activity.

Day 5 – Thursday – Artists at Work

Repeat days 3 and 4 until……..This evening you will be picked up at 6pm to head off to a Traditional Dinner & Cultural Show!   You’ll not only enjoy a delicious meal served traditional style on a banana leaf, you’ll be entertained by dancers and tabla players – we won’t give it all away here.   This will be an evening to remember.

Day 6 – Friday – Artists at Work

Another day working on your project with free time in the afternoon for rest or choosing an activity.

Day 7 – Saturday – Rest & Activity Day

Free day to just relax or choose an adventure or even a weekend away visiting heritage sites or a wildlife sanctuary.  See our list of add ons for ideas on how to spend your weekend!
